We are pleased to announce that Dr. Syed K. Shahid has joined Pulse Healthcare System, where he will continue his focus on Diabetes and Endocrinology.

In practice since 1990, Dr. Shahid’s clinical interests include diabetes and its complications, complex thyroid disorders, steroid-induced hormonal problems like Cushing’s syndrome, metabolic bone disease, osteoporosis, gonadal diseases, and testosterone treatment for men.

Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, cricket, golf, movies, and reading nonfiction. He is married and enjoys visiting family and friends across the country.

Dr. Jeannie Baquero brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to our team, having served as the Chief of Endocrinology at Brooke Army Medical Center and Director of the Diabetes Outreach Clinic at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. A graduate of Texas A&M College of Medicine, she completed her residency at Brooke Army Medical Center and her fellowship at Walter Reed.

Dr. Baquero is dedicated to providing a “one-stop-shop” for diabetes care, ensuring her patients have access to the latest advancements in treating a wide variety of endocrine disorders. Her military background instilled a commitment to excellence and thoroughness that defines her patient-centered approach.
